Industrial computed tomography (CT) is an x-ray computer-aided tomographic process that produces three-dimensional representations of scanned objects. Thus, it provides both internal and external representations of the scanned object. Industrial CT can be used in a variety of areas within many industries for inspection of components. It is used within metrology, for assembly analysis or for flaw detection in situations, where the objects and applications under analysis are not to be damaged.
